What We Collect
When you use Timezone DB, we collect minimal information to provide our service:
- Discord Profile Information: Your Discord user ID, username, discriminator, and avatar (obtained through Discord OAuth)
- Timezone Preference: The timezone you choose to store and share
- Session Data: Temporary session tokens stored for 1 hour to keep you logged in
How We Use Your Data
We use your information only to:
- Store and display your timezone preference
- Authenticate you through Discord OAuth
- Provide API access to your stored timezone data
- Display basic statistics (user counts, popular timezones)
Data Storage
- User Data: Stored in our PostgreSQL database
- Sessions: Temporarily stored in Redis cache (expires after 1 hour)
- No Tracking: We don't use cookies for tracking or analytics
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Your timezone information is publicly accessible through our API endpoints, as this is the core functionality of the service.
Data Retention
Your data is stored until you choose to delete it using the "Delete Timezone" button or by contacting us. Session data automatically expires after 1 hour.

You can:
- Update your timezone at any time
- Delete your timezone data using the delete button
- Log out to end your session immediately
Third-Party Services
We use Discord OAuth for authentication. Please review Discord's Privacy Policy for information about how Discord handles your data.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data, including secure session management and database access controls.
